Instructor Information:  Barbara Shapiro has been involved in textiles from an early age. She combines her rich knowledge of historical and ethnic textiles with wide technical experience in weaving and surface design. Her work reflects her travels and studies as well as her work in theater costume design. 

Workshop Description:  Do you want to understand the creative process better or learn to see your work in a new way? Through a slide lecture of her own creative process and development, three creative hands on projects and class discussions, we will explore what moves us, what we are attracted to, and how that influences the work we do. Our aim is greater and more personal artistic creativity.

Materials:  In addition to those items supplied by the instructor you will be asked to bring some simple household items, a few objects and images, and some yarns, cloth, remnants, etc. from your stash. More details will be sent after registration.
