Tapestry Techniques for Wearable Textiles
Learn to paint with yarn using tapestry techniques. We usually think of tapestries as densely woven, weft-faced weaves used for wallhangings and rugs. However, the same techniques can be used with finer yarns and balanced weaves to create textiles suitable for clothing and accessories. You will come to class with your rigid heddle or multi-harness loom warped for a cowl. After learning various ways to join colors, you will get a good start on weaving your cowl. Finishing and seaming will be demonstrated so that you can complete your project at home.

Saturday, March 28, 1-4pm
Price: THSG Members $45   Non-Members $50
