Palette of Fiber Arts Update

Four weeks and counting … can you believe it?  We had a wonderful Guild meeting today, filled with excitement and enthusiasm. Thank you to all who responded positively to our “emergency update” requesting more Parade entries. The crisis is averted and we are looking good!

If you have not registered for the Palette of Fiber Arts Parade and Reception ….please go onto our Website and register. If you are waiting for others to join you, register yourself now and then register your guests.

Many members responded to the call for volunteers needed over these next few week and more are needed:

  • Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th – please take your Gallery entries to the Jewish Community Center.
  • Monday, October 10th Gallery Hanging and Yarn Storming at the Jewish Community Center. If you are free …come on down. We will start at 10:00AM and work until its’ done. Any help will be appreciated.
  • Friday, October 28th Preliminary Boutique and Study Group set-ups.

In addition to display equipment, we are asking member-sellers to bring their items (tagged and inventoried), hoping we can get some areas ready early. Come any time between 11:30AM and 4:00PM.

  • Saturday, October 29th Final set-up of Boutique and Study Groups. Member-sellers MUST have their inventory to the Boutique between 8:00AM and 10:00AM. Please ….no stragglers as it creates display chaos at the last minute!
  • Saturday, October 29th after the Gala starts- we need more Boutique staff, Study Group Display coverage and assistance at Registration.

Please contact Mary Weinzirl, Boutique Chair, your Study Group Leaders or Marcia Fleming, Registration Chair.

  • Also, we really need 3-4 people willing to model a garment in the Parade.

Raffle Basket photos and contents were on display at the meeting, allowing attendees to buy tickets early –Thank you Zarah and Sue.

Thank you all for the patience and support you have shown as we have sailed our “ship” into new and exciting seas. It is not always easy to do things differently, but change can be a good thing … and our upcoming event is going to be a huge success!
