Level: Must be able to warp own tapestry loom according to directions and be familiar with basic tapestry techniques – advanced beginner/intermediate

Maximum number of Students: 10

This is a hands-on design and tapestry weaving workshop based on the Aubusson tradition.

DESIGN: Participants will view the fundamentals of cartoon designing, such as the relationships between the elements of composition, scale and format.

WEAVING: Front or back? A guide to understanding tapestry structure. Viewing techniques of geometry and free forming; methods of color shading; large format/small format concerns; finishing process.
