Lew Sorensen Center
2300 N Tanque Verde Loop, Tucson, AZ, United States

Prerequisite: Beginning Weaving, Session I & II, or equivalent experience. Students should be confident winding a warp and preparing a loom.

This class is for students who want to play with color, do laps around the color wheel, and learn how to talk about hue, value, saturation, tint, tone, gray scale complementary colors, but not TOO seriously. Students will weave a small color gamp, learn a thing or two about simple weft/warp faced weaves, then choose one or more of our projects to weave and take home to keep, gift or sell at our holiday open house. If you are more experienced or adventuresome you might prefer to design and weave a larger project of your own in a structure of your choice. We will be glad to help.

Class meets on Thursday with an optional studio day on Monday and Saturday mornings at Lew Sorensen Community Center, 2300 N Tanque Verde Loop, Tucson, AZ. Mondays 1-3 PM Oct. 20 – TBA 5 weeks. Cost $75, $20 for use of looms, yarn & equipment (fee is waived if you bring your own loom and supplies).
