Paperworks is a collective for Paper and Book Artists, and they have invited us to join them for their March program featuring a fiber artist.

Kathleen Sharp, a highly acclaimed fiber artist, is our featured speaker for March!

Her collage art quilts are thought provoking inspired by big issues, both personal and mythological, and are filled with color-rich shapes and a bounty of symbols.

Kathleen’s distinctive art form – laden with serious messages and plain fun alike – caught the attention of the Smithsonian Institution, which included Sharp’s work in two exhibitions that traveled across the country.

She has received much attention for her art genre in the three-plus decades she has been exploring it.  Her works have been shown at numerous museums, and are in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad.

You can visit Kathleen’s web page at   http://kathleensharpartquilts.blogspot.com

You will love this program, as Kathleen tells us about her journey & process and shows us many of her delightful pieces!
