The November 11 TAPESTRY STUDY GROUP will meet at Amphi Baptist Church.  This is a one time location change for November only.
We will continue with our study of Line in Tapestry by Kathy Todd Hooker.  Bring your loom for a work session.  We will work at whatever point you are at in the book, whether it’s warping your loom or working along through section 3.
After the November meeting, everyone interested can join us for lunch and a trip to the Tucson Desert Art Museum.  On that day, the museum will host a weaving day with demonstrations and lectures on Navajo weaving.  Entry to the museum is $10 but there are usually coupons on Groupon.  Lecture schedule follows:

12:30 to 1:00 – Velma Kee Craig demonstrates traditional Navajo weaving.
1:00 – 1:45 – Dennis Aigner discusses the history and significance of the whirling log design in Navajo Textiles.
2:00 – 2:45 – Carolyn O’Bagy Davis speaks about the history of Arizona Indian trading posts.
3:00 to 4:00 – Steve Getzwiller talks and gives recommendations on collecting Navajo Textiles.
