Show Date: April 8th 2018 thru May 4th 2018 at the Murphey Gallery located at St. Philips in the Hills.

Objective: To introduce the general public to the diversity of Textile Art and to showcase the talent of
our members.

Eligibility: Current juried members of Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild.
Members may enter 3 pieces of fiber art. Artwork must be original and have been completed after
January 2016 and not previously shown. All three pieces may or may not be hung due to space limitations.

Digital Image: To ensure all who want to participate, we are asking you to submit your entries digitally no later than February 28th 2018.

Your three pieces of artwork must be submitted at 72 dpi, no more than 6 inches in any direction. ( More information will follow at a later date.)

A selection committee will be formed and you will be notified no later than March 15, 2018.

**Items that cannot be hung (such as vessels, jewelry) can be sold during the reception** (more
information to follow at a later date)

To participate, all artwork must be juried by the Standards Committee unless you the artist have juried
status.

Gallery restrictions: No nudes or inappropriate language. St. Philips in the Hills reserves the right
to remove any artwork deemed inappropriate.

Sales: All artwork must be for sale.
Any artwork sold can be removed and the artist can then replace their sold item with another approved piece.

Entry Submission Form will be posted at a later date.

The Artist Responsibility:
1. St. Philips states the artist will make arrangements directly with the purchaser for payment
and pick up) A commission of 20% will be paid directly to St. Philips in the Hills on all sales at
the Murphey Art Gallery and 10% will go to THSG. You the artist are responsible for any
county/state taxes.
2. Insurance: St. Philips does not carry insurance for artwork in the gallery and is the responsibility
of the artist, if, the artists wants to insure their pieces.
3. Hanging: All entries must hang on the wall. It is the responsibility of the artist to prepare their
piece for hanging
4. Delivery: Each artist will deliver their artwork the morning of April 7th (Saturday) to the
Murphey Gallery from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
5. Pick up: Artists must pick up their art work on Saturday May 5th from 8:00 a.m to 9:00 a.m.
Reception
Sunday April 8th from 12:30 to 2:30

Summarized checklist
[ ] Digital Images ( at 72 dpi, no more than 6 inches in any direction) Each image file must be
“renamed” with the artist’s last name, first name, title of work, medium, size and price (More
information will follow at a later date)
[ ] Entry form completed for each submitted work (submitted in either a Word document or pasted
in the body of the submission e-mail) * The entry form will be posted at a later date*
