Arizona Teachers Federation Seminar

KarenLukacsStudio-1On Saturday, July 15, members of the THSG Outreach committee will assist Karen Lukacs with a seminar for the Arizona Teachers Federation Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising Teachers.

The purpose of the seminar is to enhance their curriculum, specifically in helping their students understand the nature of textiles, such as the difference between knitted and woven fabric and how a tightly or not tightly spun yarn affects the finished fabric. Karen will start the day with a morning lecture.

In the afternoon, THSG members will demo spinning, weaving and knitting and provide hands-on opportunities for the attendees.;

If you would like to see Karen’s studio and checkout the guild’s outreach efforts, you are welcome to come between 2 and 4 that afternoon.

The Studio is located at 2456 N. Pantano Rd.
