Instructor Information: Ric Rao is a southwestern treasure.  His experience with and knowledge of natural dyes and dyeing procedures is legendary.  He teaches frequently in our area, consults with museums, and writes for spinning magazines, including PLY.  

Workshop Description: This workshop will focus on dyeing wool and other protein fibers (e.g. angora, alpaca, mohair).  It is a good introduction for people who have never worked with natural dyes and for experienced folks who better understand the detailed information Ric provides in all of his workshops.  Ric works with plants from his own dye garden and bring those with him.  More detailed information on the curriculum will be available and posted soon. 

Materials and Supplies: Lists will be supplied to participants well before the workshop start date. 

Registration opens to THSG Members: Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the general meeting.  Online registrations begin after 2 p.m.

Registration opens to Nonmembers:  Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
