Spinning Study Group
The Spinning Study Group welcomes all spinners and those interested in spinning. This is an active, entertaining and imaginative group. At any meeting the group may choose another fiber or technique to study for the next meeting, or series of meetings. The official meeting is after the general meeting on the 4th Wednesday of the month at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church at 4440 N Campbell Ave. Many members bring their lunch. At 1:00 pm, the group gathers for a short presentation and sharing of members’ work over the previous month. For more information, contact Jill Holbrook, Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2016-2017 season will be all about Blending – that is blending different fibers together and maybe some color too for our meetings from September, 2016 to May, 2017. The List is not complete yet but just to tease you with some of the proposals we have: Cotton and Silk by Renee Poirier; Alpaca and Wool by Edith Tanniur; Wool and Silk by Marcia Molter; Cotton and Flax by Lita Doesken; Nylon and Wool and/or Mohair and Other Fibers by Heather Hilzendeger and more to come.
Here is the schedule for the group’s Casual Spin Ins for the Summer:
July 16th Birdhouse Yarn on 6th Street 1-3 pm
August 20th Grandma’s Spinning Wheel on Tanque Verde 1-3 pm
