Fiber Doll Making and Costuming
Dolls have been in existence since ancient civilization and have been made as toys, for magic and religious rituals. The earliest documented dolls are from Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Dolls can be made, of clay, wood, bone, ivory, leather, wax, cloth, wool, paper, etc. A doll can truly be made out of any material, all you need is an idea.
The purpose of the “ Fiber Doll Making and Costuming” study group is to provide the textile artist the opportunity to learn and use varied skills to make one-of-the-kind dolls. We will explore sewn, sculpted, and needle felted dolls.
The study group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month and all are welcomed . Please contact Brenda Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
