The Book Arts Study Group studies the craft and art of making artist's books: traditional and innovative book structures, their design, layout, presentation, and content. All levels of interest and experience are welcome. Members are encouraged to incorporate their other fiber arts interests into the creation of their own artist’s books. A project-oriented group, members study all aspects of the book arts, and make their own artist’s books. The monthly meeting time is structured to learn techniques - either by demonstration or immediate hands-on practice, and by the presentation of information related to making artist’s books. This group is committed to ‘Show and Tell’ of works in progress as well as the finished works, and to the exchange of information as a significant way to learn. Meetings are the 1st Saturday of each month from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. at the 22nd St. Antique Mall community room. Please park in the lot on Beverly St. across from the building. Contact Curt Dornberg, Coordinator, at cdornberg@comcast.net for more information.
