Golden, Chapters 7 & 8. The Codex and Codex Variations

During the next two workshops, we will make a multi-sectioned sewn book, bound with a split board binding.

In February, we will sew the signatures into the text block (see Golden, pp. 147-149), and in March bind that text block using the split board technique on  pp. 210-211.

In February, we are also going to review five easy structures from Golden, Chapters 2-6:

•  X book, p. 32
  Concertina with tabs, p. 64
  Flower-fold book, p. 67
  Ledger book, p. 89
  Pop-up album accordion, p. 122-123

All of these five will be appropriate to share with the Surface Design Study Group at their February meeting.
