Mission Statement

The Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild, a Fiber Arts Community, supports and encourages creative expression in weaving, spinning and other fiber related endeavors through gatherings, education and promotion of public appreciation for these arts and crafts.

TH&SG is a creative, enthusiastic and friendly group of fiber artists. Throughout the year, day and evening meetings are offered, with diversified programs and a variety of fiber arts-related workshops. Ten study groups provide opportunity for in-depth exploration of a particular fiber art. Active in the Tucson community, we offer demonstrations, hands-on programs and exhibitions about fiber arts. Many of our members are skilled teachers of weaving, spinning, felting, book arts and more. They share their experience and talents within our Guild and in the fiber community at large. We welcome guests to our meetings, and extend an invitation to anyone interested in fiber arts, to join us.
